If you are running Ubuntu Linux, you may install Quantum GIS on Ubuntu easily. Here I will show you how easy to install Quantum GIS on Ubuntu. I am using Ubuntu 15.04 on this tutorial. 
Since QGIS is available on Ubuntu repository, we can easily install QGIS via Ubuntu Software Center (or Terminal as well).
 To install via Terminal, use this command below:
sudo apt-get install qgis
It will download about 98 MB of data from the internet. Make sure you have a good internet connection. Thanks for reading.
